THE DEBUT
In July 2026, Stage Nation launched its very first live event at the historic Richmond Theatre, a professional venue steeped in theatrical heritage. For our performers, it was their moment: lights up, music ready, audience waiting, on a stage that has hosted generations of talent.
Abi Carter-Simpson

Abi Carter-Simpson hosted The Debut 2026 at Richmond Theatre.
A comedian, singer-songwriter, actor and presenter, and a Britain’s Got Talent 2023 semi-finalist, Abi brought professionalism, warmth and energy to the day, helping guide our performers through an unforgettable show.
Matt Wesley
Industry Mentor
Matt Wesley joined The Debut 2026 as our industry mentor.
A choreographer and director whose credits include Chicago, The Bodyguard and Mamma Mia: The Party, Matt shared real industry insight to inspire the next generation of performers.
NYAT
CHARITY PARTNER
The Debut 2026 partnered with the National Youth Arts Trust (NYAT) to expand opportunities for young people to perform on stage.
A percentage of revenue and Foundation Seats were donated to support disadvantaged young people attending live theatre.
Laine Theatre Arts
Guest Performers
Performers from Laine Theatre Arts, one of the UK’s leading professional training colleges, took to the stage at The Debut 2026, giving our young performers the chance to see the professional world up close.

GUEST PERFORMERS
Outta Puff Daddys performed at The Debut 2026, bringing high energy dance and an honest message around mental health and wellbeing, led by Paul “JUKEBOX” Jukes.
Royal Academy of Dance
Summer School Scholarship
One performer was awarded a Royal Academy of Dance Summer School Scholarship for 2027, including a week of classes at the RAD headquarters in Battersea, a theatre trip, and a final showcase for friends and family.
